Medusa Guide
Medusa
This is my navigation guide to finding the ToAU King of Arrapago Reef, Medusa. ToAU kings are difficult to get to and require
attention from all members in the group desiring to take down these guys. The fight against Medusa is a fun one and not entirely difficult.
I hope this navigation guide will help make the path to Medusa an easy one.
Required Items
1)
Lamian Fang Key x2
2)
Lamian Bone Key
3)
Lamian Claw Key
It will take two people holding keys to get to Medusa. One person much hold all three keys to get through the Tidal Gate that Medusa lives behind.
I recommend farming your keys ahead of time because the monsters that drop the keys are spread throughout the zone. When traveling to Medusa, it is best to
just focus on traveling to Medusa and nothing else. Once you have your keys and regroup, take Dvucca Isle Staging Point to the first map.
From here you want to head to Arrapago Reef (2). There is no True Aggro in this path, but the Lamia aggro to Sound and Sight, so Sneak/Invis is a must.
Don't get confused by this map. You want to head to H. It is not a noticable place on the map. There are many pillars that you can walk around and get lost.
In the room connected to H there is a Merrow that will aggro and detect's by sight. I reccomnd Sneak and Invisible. Make sure everyone follows you to H and does not get lost. It can happen.
Now for the long run to Medusa's front door, the Tidal Gate. Just follow the path and keep Sneak and Invisible up at all times and
keep everyone's HP in the White!
There is blood aggro all over the place. Monster placement is not that tight so if you do get aggro just take care of it, heal up and continue on. At (I/J - 7) There are Nix Songstress
that are True Sight. If you can walk around them that would be great but be prepared to fight them as someone is inevitably going to aggro them. After you cross the boat, the tunnel to
Medusa is just up ahead. Trade all 3 Keys and make sure everyone gets through. There is no opportunity for pass through the gate once it has closed.
You can not open it from behind
and choosing to exit via the Tidal Gate will put you on an entirely different map in Arrapago Reef.
